Executive Function Coaching
By working one-on-one with an Executive Function coach, a young person begins to understand how they think and the ways they learn best. Because Executive Function is not strongly activated until early adulthood, training at any stage of life can strengthen neural connections.
The coach and the client develop a personalized plan to strengthen Executive Function through practice. Coaching involves practice in working memory, self-regulation, and mental flexibility to intensify the person’s capacity. In time, the client expands their skills to get along with others, be flexible, accomplish new things and be less afraid of change.
